IPL has turned into the most popular tournament on the planet. IPL live betting rates are gaining in popularity increasingly more over the past couple of decades. Mobile IPL betting is great for cricket fans since it enables them to place wagers wherever they find themselves. Mobile IPL is not difficult to begin on and removes a whole lot of the hassles related to desktop betting.

You’re able to learn more about cricket betting by our site or by following us socially. Although you simply need to bet on cricket, there are different aspects you must take into consideration when you pick a sportsbook. Cricket has been among the most well-known sports for decades. If you’re live betting on cricket and you would like to make the absolute most out of it, it’s vital that you can stream the match whilst betting. When it regards the very best cricket betting apps, the Betfair app jumps ahead of a number of other services favoured for different sports for two or three important reasons. The ideal cricket betting sites are almost always transparent and open about their terms and terms of usage. There are frequently several cricket matches that take place throughout the day.

IPL 2020: Twenty20 Cricket

Twenty20 cricket or Twenty-20 (often abbreviated to T20), is a shortened format of cricket. At the expert level, it was originally introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, both teams have one inning every, which is restricted to a max of 20 overs.

Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is just one of the 3 current forms of cricket recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being in the greatest international or domestic level.

IPL Betting Markets

There are many different betting markets that you can use during the IPL, throughout the season. Depending on what sort of bettor you are, each individual market might interest you differently for the cricket season. There is outright betting, match betting and in-play betting all available to you with different bookmakers. With the IPL as dramatic as it is, each betting market can be quite volatile and you must always be wary of market changes throughout every match.

Outright Betting

Outright Betting refers to betting on the overall IPL Competition. In some respects, this is similar to ante-post betting in other sports – where you are betting on who will win the competition in a few months’ time, rather than focusing on each game. This can lead to better odds but also a tougher chance of winning. Whether you’re looking to back Mumbai Indians or Royal Challengers Bangalore to win the IPL 2020 – you can find the odds for those teams in the Outright Betting section.

Match Betting

Match Betting is as simple as it seems. It is betting on the outcome of any one of the Indian Premier League games. As cricket is an ever-changing game, match betting can be tricky and often you might need to decide who you are backing on some different factors. Factors such as match conditions, the pitch, and the toss are all notable to match betting. You should all use these factors to decide which side you think should have the most of the conditions and therefore win the match.

In-Play Betting

In-Play Betting is probably the most popular form of cricket betting in the modern age. If you are like me and watch games from the first ball to last – this is the sort of betting that might interest you. In-Play Betting gives off many different markets which will be discussed slightly further below in the piece. The markets for this type of betting are extremely volatile and rewards the person watching the IPL games for their entirety.

IPL In-Play Betting Markets

As alluded to above, there are many different in-play betting markets that you can use when watching any given IPL Game.

Top Run Scorers

So throughout each team’s innings, you can bet on which individual player you think will score the most amount of runs. This is a very popular market for a lot of people to bet on – usually this can be used as a market depending on how well some player is batting. In Indian Premier League matches, the best batsman in the world are all playing against each other, and all of whom have great chances of scoring a lot of runs. This makes the punter’s job more difficult as it is so hard to predict.

Next Batsman Out

This is as straightforward as it sounds, you are betting on which batsman you believe is going to be out next. This can be observed by looking at how each batsman is fairing in the middle and putting your bet on accordingly.

Top Wicket Taker

Again another quite self-explanatory one, you are betting on who will take the most wickets in the match.

Sixes Hit

Another in-play market, betting on how many sixes will be hit during the game – this can also be viewed in the market in the unders/overs market.

IPL 2019 – The Recap

The Final

Last year, the IPL final was contested between the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings, it ended up being one of the most dramatic finals in IPL History. Batting first, the Mumbai Indians made a competitive score 149-8 from their 20 overs, helped largely to a blistering 41 not out from Kieron Pollard at the end of the innings. This proved to be just about enough with the Chennai Super Kings falling just short by one run on 148-7. Jasprit Bumrah was the star for Mumbai with the ball and this was given the player of the match accolade for his 2-14 from his 4 overs. It was a brilliant final to cap off what had been a thrilling competition from one first game to last.

MVP of 2019 IPL

Andre Russell from the West Indies was given the MVP award for the 2019 IPL. Russell, who was playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders, almost managed to get his side into the elimination games later in the tournament. The combination of his destructive late order hitting and fast bowling was deadly for his side.

Purple Cap Winner (Most Wickets)

The Purple Cap winner for the 2019 IPL was Imran Tahir from the Chennai Super Kings. The South African leg-spinner, known for his elaborate celebrations, was instrumental in bringing the Super Kings to the final. He took 26 wickets at a mere average 16.57 with the ball. He narrowly outgunned fellow countryman Kagiso Rabada, by one wicket.

Orange Cap Winner (Most Runs)

The winner of the Orange Cap for the 2019 IPL was the Australian opener, David Warner. Warner, who was playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, scored a magnificent 692 runs at an average of 69.2 in the tournament – which is a brilliant effort and achievement. As such, Warner is one of the hottest commodities in the T20 game these days.

IPL 2020 – The Teams

Chennai Super Kings

Last Year’s Beaten Finalists return this year with a very strong chance again in this year’s competition. Captained by Indian legend, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, they have an awful lot of positives. With Suresh Raina, Faf Du Plessis, Sam Curran and Shane Watson – they have a lot of strength and depth within their batting. With Imran Tahir back again this year with his leg spin, alongside the very promising quick Lungi Ngidi, they have some bite to their bowling as well. However, their bowling may lack depth throughout the course of the competition.

Delhi Capitals

Coached by Australian Legend, Ricky Ponting, the Capitals should be very strong this year in the IPL. Captained by Shreyas Iyer – they have a wealth of talent in their ranks for the 2020 season. Perhaps the key might be Marcus Stoinis – as the Australian all-rounder has become more and more effective in World Cricket in the last few years. Shikhar Dhawan and Shimron Hetmyer alongside the captain show off the batting capabilities while Kagiso Rabada and Ravi Ashwin will hold the key with the ball. They are an exciting team with the potential to surprise.

Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab, who are coached and captained by the Indian duo of Anil Kumble and KL Rahul, look like they should develop into a decent team this year. Their marquee signing of Glenn Maxwell will help both in their batting and also some bowling as well. However, apart from Rahul and Maxwell, the batting looks a little bit thin on the ground and might cause difficulties to them. Their bowling looks strong enough, with Mohammed Shami, Sheldon Cottrell and Mujeeb Al Rahman all offering different options.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Coached by former T20 and IPL legend, Brendan McCullum, the Knight Riders will be looking to improve on their 5th place finish in last year’s competition. In bringing in Eoin Morgan, they bring in a wealth of experience plus an excellent player in the process. They also have the West Indian pair of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine who both are great additions to both batting and bowling. They will be looking to Pat Cummins to lead an otherwise, under the radar bowling attack.

Mumbai Indians

Last year’s winners return to the IPL with a great chance of defending their crown with another very strong squad to go to war with. In Rohit Sharma, they have one of the best batsmen in IPL history at their disposal. With all-rounders like Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya, they cover a lot of different disciplines with good personnel. Quinton De Kock is behind the stumps and Jasprit Bumrah leads the bowling unit for the third year in a row – they are the worthy favourites.

Rajasthan Royals

The Royals return this year with Australian, Steve Smith, at the helm for the 2020 season. They have a lot of overseas influence in their side and they will be looking for the English players to stand up. Jofra Archer is the obvious big name draw, his brutish bowling combined with his massive lower order hitting – he could win a few big moments. Jos Buttler and Tom Curran will also prove to be very helpful for the Royals and will need to produce. Ben Stokes is another massive draw.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Led by Indian captain, Virat Kohli, RCB have been slight underachievers in the last few years given the strength of their squad. In Kohli alone they have a masterful batsman who is good in any situation. Add AB De Villiers and Aaron Finch to that list and you have three of the best T20 batsmen of recent times. However, it is the bowling that once again seems to let this side down a little bit. Dale Steyn leads the pace line and while Zampa and Chahal both give good spin options – they still look slightly light.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Another team led by an overseas captain, Australian opening batsman David Warner is at the helm for the Sunrisers as they look to have a decent chance of a good season ahead of them. With Warner, Johnny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson – they have a strong looking top order with a lot of runs there. They have an ace card with the ball as well as Rashid Khan returns and will look to cause nightmares to any opposition batting line ups with his confusing spin.

IPL Betting

Betting on the IPL has become very popular over recent years as it offers a wide range of different markets and different matches to be played. With the standard of cricket being so high, the level of fans watching the games are massive and therefore the betting angle is also huge. The majority of bookmakers look to the IPL as a great opportunity to enhance their cricket betting.

IPL 2020 – Road to the Final

The Indian Premier League has eight teams in the group stage of the competition. Within those eight teams, they play each other two times and thus play 14 league games. In the space of this long format, the better teams should end up rising to the top of the table and therefore the competition is very fair in the process.
Once everyone’s 14 games are finished, there will be two separate games played. The 1st and 2nd placed teams will face off against each other and the winner of that match will go directly through to the final of the IPL. The 3rd and 4th placed teams will play against each other in an elimination game, with the winners advancing to play the losers of the other 1st/2nd place playoff. After this the winner of that game will join the initial team in the final of the IPL. With this format, it benefits the teams that have done better over the space of the 14 games as it heavily favours the teams who finished 1st and 2nd.

IPL Betting Tips 2021

It is hard to look past the Mumbai Indians in the IPL this year but the odds would suggest that is the case. Instead, I feel there is more value trying to find another team to improve.

IPL 2021 Outright – Kolkata Knight Riders @ 8/1

The team that fascinates me the most is the Kolkata Knight Riders, with Eoin Morgan adding an awful lot to an otherwise strong side. As previously mentioned, they have two of the best all-rounders of the tournament in Narine and Russell and they could be imperative to this team’s success. Shubmann Gill and Sanju Samson also add powerful hard hitting batting to their mix and they could be an overpriced play at the 8/1 mark.

IPL 2021Outright Outsider – Sunrisers Hyderabad @ 16/1

An outsider to potentially consider is Sunrisers Hyderabad, if they manage to get through to the elimination round, they have the ability to beat any side in this competition. David Warner continues to play very well and while opening with Bairstow, they have a lot going for them. They will require some big efforts from Rashid Khan with the ball to succeed but might be worth an EachWay Play.
